According to climate data gathered over numerous years; the mean temperature in March is of 14.0°C (a 17.0°C high and a 10.9 °C low), whilst the total precipitation in March is of 39.8 mm. Long-term weather models are indicating that, with regards to temperature, March 2021 is likely to follow the warmer than average trend maintained throughout the winter months. As is to be expected, one cannot rule out the odd day or two of colder than average weather. With regards to precipitation, the same long-term weather models are suggesting a slight improvement over last month. Despite this, it’s unlikely this will be enough to recuperate missed rainfall amounts. As we enter spring, the weather will start showing general improvement, with an increase in the frequency of days with fine weather. Climatically, March is well-known for its windy days. Past years have been consistent in producing at least one gale-force wind event in March.
