This week will be off to a fine start, with plentiful bright sunshine throughout the first half of it. No rain is expected on the first days back to school. The meteorological situation across the central Mediterranean could take a more unstable turn by the weekend, however. We’re expecting a zone of instability to develop across our area of the Mediterranean, possibly bringing some showers and thunderstorms to our showers. The likely days for this are Friday 1/10 and Saturday 2/10. This potential return of rain will be confirmed in separate updates at a later stage this week. We are expecting temperatures to vary more widely over the next seven days. Daytime highs will be in the range of 25°C to 30°C. Nighttime lows will vary from 19°C to 24°C. The cooler values would obviously occur if the rainy days materialize. The wind will shift to the northwesterly at the start of the week, and is likely to be rather strong on a number of days during the day. A shift back to easterly directions is possibly by the weekend.
